Partner Eve Brackmann Elected to OCBA Board of Directors

Stuart Kane LLP is pleased to announce that partner Eve A. Brackmann has been elected as Director at Large to the Board of Directors for the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA).  The OCBA provides a wide variety of programs, services, and opportunities for its attorney members, the judiciary, and the community.  The OCBA is one of the largest voluntary bar associations in California, with over 9,000 members.

Eve is an award-winning business trial lawyer and appellate practitioner.  She is an original partner at Stuart Kane LLP in Newport Beach.  Prior to that, she was a shareholder at Stradling, also headquartered in Newport Beach.  Eve handles a variety of complex business and real estate disputes, as well as appellate matters for clients across the U.S.

Eve grew up in Orange County and has practiced here for her entire career.  She has dedicated hundreds of hours volunteering for the OCBA and affiliates.

As this year’s co-chair of the OCBA Mentoring Committee, Eve created and implemented programs to make the 2020 Mentoring Program a success.  She has also served on numerous OCBA committees over the past decade, including over ten years as a Mandatory Fee Arbitrator.  During the COVID pandemic, Eve has participated in regular OCBA Bar Leaders activities to help to help the legal community, courts, and clients navigate through this unprecedented time.

In her spare time, Eve is a competitive triathlete, foodie, adventurer, and dog mom.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.  She also volunteers for a variety of charitable organizations, including the OC PLI and Veteran’s Legal Institute.

“I am honored to be elected to the OCBA Board of Directors. These times present unique challenges but also great opportunities for innovation.  I look forward to serving alongside such a dedicated team to further the mission of this great organization. I will work to make sure that our OCBA’s voice is heard at the State Bar regarding the serious changes they are proposing in our legal profession. Additionally, I will strive to build even greater ties between the OCBA and the Orange County business community,” says Eve.

Eve will be installed along with the elected officers, board members, and OCBA Charitable Fund’s Board of Directors at the 2021 Judges’ Night & Annual Meeting on Thursday, January 21, 2021. Learn more about the event here.
